Landelijk Holiday House Review

Salam and good day!

During Easter break, my friends and I went for a trip to Netherlands and Belgium. It was such a fantastic trip!

One of the best things about the trip was our stay in Amsterdam. I was the one in charge for the booking of accommodation before we went for the trip. I found this place through Booking.com website (which was a booking database for hotels, apartment, etc). It looked very appealing from the pictures and the price was reasonable too.

The place is called Landelijk Holiday Home. It's located at Durgerdammerdijk as in the map (the light blue tab).

A preview...

This is the scene of the surrounding area.

There's two bedroom. One is bunk beds.

The other is with a double bed.

The toilet is super clean, up to my standards (those who knows me will know how high it is).

The rooms are equipped with many hooks and this small but cute wardrobe. Simple with an antique furnishing feel to it. Can fit for two days clothes in it, definitely.

The kitchen is stored with enough cooking appliances (pots, pans, cutleries etc), salt and pepper plus coffee and tea. The owner even gave two complimentary juices. Very nice!

The dining table and TV. The channels are all in dutch language of course.

Sofa in living room.

The view on the outside (backyard)...gorgeous!!

When you step out of the house, this is what you will see at the back side.

The view of the house from the backyard.

You can see rabbits playing around at the backyard sometimes. They run super fast. Very difficult to get a picture.

Panoramic view of the backyard.

There's chickens too. haha...they're not like Malaysian chickens at all. These hens are super fat.

The owner of the cottage, Anneke is super nice and hospitable. After I made the booking, she emailed me to confirm and ask for payment (you can either pay full in advance or deposit 30%). After which, she will kept in touch to ask for time of arrival and whether we will arrive by car. I love the attention that they gave to their customers.

The cost for our stay (2 nights) is €290 which includes tax.

After we arrived, she greeted us very warmly. While she was showing us the house, she provide us with maps and guides to travel around Amsterdam.

There is bicycle rent which you can use for free. The area is very near the city which I stated in the previous post. There is also a market nearby which opens at 9am and closes at 8pm daily. The people that works at the market is super friendly because when we arrive it was already very late. After we prayed and washed up, it was already almost 8pm and by the time we reached the market, it was closed. But when we asked permission to buy some food, they entertained us anyway. I just love the way they treat us.

I would highly recommend to stay here if you are ever in Amsterdam. It is such a wonderful place for a holiday. Hope this review helps.

Until next time...
